A number of fishing charter operators run charters from the Mooloolaba marinas. The shallower banks, several miles offshore always seem to produce an esky full of fish so why not come and give it a go? most of the trips last for a half day, so you can go in the morning or the afternoon. Common catches here include snapper, bream cobia, and mackerel which are all great eating varieties. Boats here are mostly of the catamaran or west coaster style with long back decks to give the fishermen plenty of room to move while fighting a fish.
